Hi.

Welcome to my photography blog. I love to capture people of all ages and document their stories. Enjoy!

Ever wonder why photography is so expensive?

Photographers are not ripping you off.

Here is a list of expenses I, and many other photographers have to keep up with in order to keep business running.

1. CAMERA/CAMERA GEAR

  • a good high quality camera will cost at least $1,000 but can reach cost up to $5,000
  • cameras don't last forever. There is upkeep. To replace a shutter, it would cost $500
  • photographers should be calibrating their lenses to their camera every few months or so, which is about $30 every time per lens
  • cameras also need to be cleaned once in a while, whic is about $25 per time

2. CAMERA LENSES

  • on average photographers have around 3 different lenses, which would cost around $3,500
  • lenses need upkeep as well

3. COMPUTER

  • we can't really get by the cheapest computer/laptop on the market cause we are all about efficiency and if our computer is not working fast enough, we can't perform well
